The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai is looking for a female or a male security guard starting of December 15th, 2025

Full-time positions (40 hours per week).

The duties include the following tasks:
- Security checks on visitors to the Consulate General, including individual and baggage checks
- Operation of the security doors and security gate
- Gatekeeper duties
- Assistance with archive work (like sorting, organizing, transporting, lifting many and heavy file
boxes)
- Janitor’s duties (ensuring order and cleanliness indoors and outdoors).

Requirements:
- Professional experience as a security guard
- Knowledge of Chinese at a native level (Mandarin)
- sufficient knowledge of English or German to communicate with non-Chinese visitors
- Polite and confident demeanor
- high level of commitment, flexibility and resilience; Service orientation and strong teamwork
skills, good organizational skills
- Valid residence and work permit for non-Chinese applicants
- Minimum age: 25 years
- applicants who have already reached retirement age cannot be considered

The starting salary is 6,900 CNY monthly (gross), costs for supplementary health insurance are covered.
